These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Deucemate (“Deucemate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Deucemate website and app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using Deucemate, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

2. The Service

Deucemate helps players post availability, find courts, arrange matches, and discover lessons, events, leagues, and gear listed by other users. Deucemate is a platform that connects users to each other — we don’t own or operate the courts listed in the app, and we aren’t a party to any match, lesson, event, or sale that happens between users.

3. Your Account

• You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You may not create an account for anyone other than yourself, or maintain more than one account.
• You’re responsible for notifying us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

When using Deucemate, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or intimidate any other user.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including a false skill rating or fabricated listing.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts.
• Post content that is obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Send spam, unsolicited advertising, or use the Service to promote unrelated products or services without our permission.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or use automated means to access the Service outside of the interfaces we provide.
• Attempt to circumvent any moderation action, including a suspension or ban.

We rely on user reports and our own review to enforce this policy. We may remove content, and may suspend or permanently ban accounts, that violate these Terms, at our discretion and without prior notice.

5. Meeting Other Users — Please Read Carefully

Deucemate helps you find and arrange to meet other players, but we do not conduct background checks on users, and we cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, or conduct of anyone you meet through the Service. Any decision to meet another user, in person or otherwise, is made entirely at your own risk. We strongly encourage you to:

• Meet in public places, especially the first time.
• Tell a friend or family member where you’re going and who you’re meeting.
• Use the in-app reporting and blocking tools if something feels wrong, and contact local authorities if you feel unsafe.
• Never send money or share sensitive financial or personal information with someone you’ve met through the app.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deucemate disclaims all liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your interactions with other users, whether online or in person.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you post (photos, listings, messages, and so on). By posting content, you grant Deucemate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You’re solely responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

7. Shop Listings and Payments

Deucemate allows approved sellers to list gear for sale and allows buyers to inquire about listings. Deucemate does not process payments, hold funds in escrow, or guarantee the condition, authenticity, or delivery of any item. Any sale arranged through the Service is a transaction solely between the buyer and seller, at their own risk.

8. Moderation and Enforcement

We use a combination of automated checks and human review to keep the community safe, including a reporting system, content approval for certain listings, and the ability to suspend or ban accounts that violate these Terms or our community standards. We may remove any content or restrict any account at our sole discretion.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is harmful to Deucemate.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT, LISTING, USER PROFILE, OR RATING IS ACCURATE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEUCEMATE AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE, ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY USER, OR ANY IN-PERSON INTERACTION ARISING FROM THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions don’t allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Deucemate harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with other users.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, unless otherwise required by the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your state of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
